My Daily Routine

Making Daily Plans | My Daily Routine

Today is gonna be a great day.  You are going to motivate yourself by doing your daily routine activities. I can’t wait to share it with you.

Having a routine is giving you a good cycle of what helps you make you successful. It helps you to stay motivated on keeping track of things.

Don’t expect to get all of your tasks done in one day.  My recommendation is to get the tasks that you really need to get done first.  If you don’t get it all done today, then you can finish them later today or tomorrow.

Here are my daily routines that helps me get through my day.

Morning

The first thing I hear when I wake up is my alarm clock and the bird singing outside the window.  Yes, I usually hit the snooze button and sleep in, but it will take time away from your day.  Then I look at the time and realize that I don’t have a lot of time getting ready for my day.

Wake up and start your day with a morning routine.  When you give yourself a cycle from the start of your day, you will get to know yourself better and have a successful day.  Sometimes my cat, Sai, jumps on the bed to wake me up.

When I have the morning off, I wake up extra early to take a drive up a mountain to watch the sunrise then I get started with my day.   Those are the mornings when I don’t want to hit the snooze button.

If you think you don’t have enough time to get all your tasks done, then give yourself a 1 hour morning routine so that you can be productive.

Wake up and stretch

Open your eyes and quit hitting the snooze button.  Sit up and do a nice soft stretch before getting out of bed to get your day started.

I like to start my day with doing some good stretches before I get in the bathroom and get ready for the day.  Do some soft morning stretches and make your bed to keep things neat. It’s what makes you beautiful inside and out and relieves stress.  It increases your blood flowing and prepares your body to move. Stretching gets rid of your pain and gives you flexibility.

Drink water/tea

You want to get water down your system in the morning.  It wakes my body up after 8 hours of not being active.  Water helps you stay hydrated and keep your skin clear.  I bought a water bottle from Target and it’s been helping me keep track of my water schedule.

I recommend you drink water before taking a sip of coffee because your body is dehydrated after sleeping for 8 hours.  We drink coffee in the morning because we are thirsty and needing to wake up to get started with our day, but coffee will aggravate your stomach if you don’t drink water beforehand.

Herbal tea is a relaxing way to start your morning.  I drink tea in the morning when I’m not in a focused mindset, to prepare for a long day, and when I wake up in a bad mood.  Herbal tea helps me relax my body and mindset, and helps me get motivated for the day.  I usually drink the Bigalow Rose tea to calm my stress

Bathroom routine

After I get out of bed, the place I go is to the bathroom and take my sweet time in there. I usually go there to do my business and put in my contacts. After that I start my bathroom routine.

I will:

  • Take a 5 minute shower
  • Brush my teeth
  • Wash my face
  • Do skin care stuff
  • Talk to myself in the mirror
  • Do makeup
  • Do my hair

Grab Breakfast and a cup of coffee

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

I will walk into the kitchen and grab myself something small to eat or make a big meal.  That will depend on how I start my day.  I prefer making my own breakfast, but that’s because I love the way I cook my eggs better.

Then I would get coffee because I cannot go a day without it.  If I have to do my errands, I go to Starbucks to get my tuxedo mocha or Dunkin to get my Iced French Vanilla Latte.

Lately, I started using my own coffee maker at home because I don’t want to leave the house when I don’t need to.  My home coffee flavor that I usually get is french vanilla with fat free french vanilla creamer.

Get your day started

Write your to-do list.  Check your calendar. Figure out what you need to do for today.

I start out my day by grabbing a notepad and writing a list of things to do for the day.  I do it just to keep me on task and getting it done on time.

Mid-day

Now I got my tasks done for the morning and planned my day.  If you didn’t get your morning tasks done, now is the time to get your stuff done in the middle of the day.

I know that most of us work in the middle of the day at our jobs, and some of us work early morning or late shifts. Do what you need to do to plan your schedule out for the day.

If you work early, you can do your errands right when you get off so you can relax for the rest of the day.  If you have to work late, do your errands first thing after you get your morning started so you can take a good break before you need to get to work.

No matter what happens, today is gonna be a great day!

Have Lunch

Grab a healthy lunch meal.  If you eat out at lunch, it’s totally okay.  If you want to conserve money, try and find something to eat at home.  Eat something that will fill up and also stay healthy.

When I go to work, I try to motivate myself by bringing a lunch package so I can conserve money from going to restaurants.  I feel ecstatic after packing a lunch because I’m keeping up what I need to eat in order to stay healthy and gives me strength throughout the rest of the day.

Cleaning

Cleaning is a good habit with having an immaculate environment.  While I’m cleaning, I imagine that I am Cinderella while I’m sweeping the floors at home and at work.  It is nice to tidy up the place and pick up what needs to be done.If you are struggling with keeping the house clean, try and make a chores list to stay on schedule with cleaning.

If you want motivation to stay focused on cleaning, you can:

  • play princess
  • put on some music
  • make a list
  • set an alarm
  • one step at a time

Run Errands

Get some stuff that you really need.

If you’re running an errand and you’re worried about forgetting things, spending money on stuff that you don’t need, or keeping track of time, my advice is to take one step at a time and not need to rush it.   I used to have a hard time getting out of my car because I always have second thoughts on what I need to do.  I also worry about driving further distances because of how expensive gas prices are. Before I run and errand, I will:

  • write a list
  • go on google map based on the distances
  • think about doing what needs to get done first.
  • check for sales

Do some activities to keep you busy

Don’t forget to take a break and give yourself a little entertainment and relaxation.

If you guys are looking for activities to do, you should:

  • Read
  • Journal
  • Sketch
  • Listen to music
  • Go on a walk
  • Play video games
  • DIYs
  • Stretch
  • Dance
  • Go outside
  • Explore
  • Take Pictures

Meditate

Relax. It is now your time alone to get some meditation done.  All you need to do is breathe in and breathe out.  My advice to meditation is to focus on breathing, get comfortable, expect to think, and pick your space.

I give myself a little meditation when I break down in the middle of the day.  After that, I just focus on one thing that I am looking forward to doing so I can have a good rest of the day.

Evening

We all can relate that we come home from work being overwhelmed and stressed.  Now today is ending, it’s time to get mentally prepared for the next day.

If you want a great evening, have me-time and do things that you are proud of doing.  Once you get your evening routine done, you will have good sleep and have a good reset for the next day.

De-stress

Give yourself time to de-stress and give yourself a reset on the next day or next week.  WE worked really hard and feel exhausted.  Most of us may feel under appreciated, but you are one in a million.

You have the entire evening to relax and reset your next day.  When you are taking time for yourself, don’t think ahead and have no high expectations.  Just go with the flow.

Have dinner

Don’t forget to have dinner.  Eating dinner will help you function and grow you to a good mindset. Having a healthy meal at the end of the day is a good way to help you get some good sleep.

I like reading cookbooks for recipes so I can save money from dining and I can enjoy a home cooked meal at home.

Phone down

Yes, we all have a habit of being on our phones before bed. But being on your phone is a distraction that prevents you from getting your eight hour sleep.  You can find other activities that will give you better sleep.  The more you are on your phone before bed, the more that you will have a hard time waking up the next morning.

Do your night time routines

Take your time by doing your night routine before bedtime because it gives you good beauty sleep and functions for the next day.  The more you get into the habit of doing your night time routine,  the more that you will be motivated to get your tasks done.
